The City of Tomball Fire Department
has four functional divisions:
EXECUTIVE

Fire Chief: Randy Parr
|
The Fire Chief is the
executive head of the department and is directly responsible for the proper
and efficient operation of the department. The Fire Chief is responsible
for supervising, regulating and managing the department and all department
activities, preparing and submitting the department's annual budget
recommendations to the city manager as well as monitoring the expenditure
of funds allocated to the department. The Fire Chief is also responsible
for: Establishing rules, regulations and procedures as necessary to ensure
department efficiency and effectiveness, enforcing the department's rules,
regulations and procedures.

OPERATIONAL DIVISION
|

Assistant Chief: Eric Hoffman

|
The Operations Division
provides for the supervision and evaluation of assigned emergency
personnel; responds to emergencies including fires, hazardous materials
spills, public assistance and other emergency calls; manages various
operational programs including emergency vehicle management, emergency
equipment management, map development, pre-fire planning and facility
operations.

FIRE PREVENTION DIVISION
|

Fire Marshal:
|
The Fire Prevention
Division insures enforcement of state and local building and fire codes.
Division programs include: Plan Checking, Fire Investigation, Fire Safety
Inspections, Public
Education, and Prevention Administration. The division also assists the
Fire Chief with various research and administrative duties.

TRAINING DIVISION

|
The Training Division is responsible for
the delivery of training programs for the professional development of fire
department employees. The division prepares the employees to provide
an effective response force to mitigate emergencies and potential
emergencies. The division's programs include professional development,
automatic and mutual aid training, communications management, occupational
safety and the volunteer firefighter program.
